Ugliest Dog for 2006 - Archie!
From the KPNX-TV news:

TOLLESON, AZ -- The ugliest dog in the world resides in the Valley's west side.
Over the weekend, a purebred Chinese Crested from Tolleson won the Ugly Dog Contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California.
"We didn't really think we had a chance, we were just going to go to have fun," said Heather Peoples, the dog's owner. "He was the dark horse, completely."
The unfortunate looking dog named Archie was once an abandoned animal, scheduled for euthanasia. Peoples agreed to adopt him before she ever laid eyes on him.
"Then I got to the pound and they showed him to me, and I looked at him and went 'oh, what is this,'" Peoples said. "He just was not the typical fuzzy wuzzy dog that you're used to."
The shelter actually paid for half of Archie's fees, to convince Peoples to take him home. She's never regretted the decision.
Archie is practically hairless, aside from a white mohawk. He only has four teeth, so his tongue perpetually hangs out of his mouth. His stomach is covered with splotches, and his back is dotted with moles. He also weighs about 12 pounds more than the average Chinese Crested.
Even so, his owner doesn't him as ugly. She says there's a lot of beauty underneath.
"I know the Archie inside, the sweet Archie," Peoples said. "The Archie that rolls over on his back and goes to sleep under the covers."
Nonetheless, Peoples was convinced by a friend to enter Archie in the anti-beauty contest. The competition was fierce, and Archie was not a crowd favorite. But when Peoples bared his belly, everything changed.
"I flipped him over on the judges' table so they could see him, and he just laid there, and they loved it," she said. "They were chanting 'Archie, Archie, Archie' the whole time."
Archie won first place among purebreds, before advancing to the finals and winning the coveted title "Ugliest Dog in the World 2006."
The reward included a trophy, $1,000, and various prizes. Archie is also enjoying overnight fame.
Past winners parlayed their title into careers, but Peoples says she's not sure whether Archie should have more media exposure.
"He wouldn't care either way," she said. "He'll go on anyplace."

I recently updated my other business - 3DAS. It's that 3D architecture site that creates photorealistic renderings & animations. After talking with my business partner, we decided to focus more on the imagery & simplicity for the redesign. Take a look by going HERE. Comment me back & let me know what you think of it.
