Tired of Pecking While You Type SMS?
I was never a huge fan of pecking on the QWERTY keypad for a cell phone to send an SMS message to someone. Now there's a new (and faster) way to do it - but only on touch screen devices. One of the inventors of the T9 system has come up with a way to drag your pointer (or finger) to the word you want to come up. The system guesses (quite well I must add) at the word and adds it in. Of course, I'm still a bigger fan of voice-recognition. But, if you've got a heavy accent, this is one of the best touch-screen ways to SMS someone. I think all the Twitter fans out there are rejoycing to this one...

Check out Swype in action...

Pictures from Illinois, Busch Gardens, and Barefoot Beach
I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend. Before I wind down and do something productive with my life this weekend, I thought I would finally put up some more photos of my life. Here are some of the 'documented' events that I've done recently:

June 2008
Busch Gardens - We used the year pass that I got for Christmas & went again. This time, the Jungala exhibit was open. Unfortunately, there were some things closed due to ape escaping a week prior to the incident.

32nd Birthday in Orlando - I headed up to Orlando and saw La Nouba from Cirque de Soleil. After that, it was dancing all night in Pleasure Island. We even got to meet up with some friends at Universal Studios (at Margaritaville). Plus, I was in M&M heaven...

July 2008
I went up to see my family in Bloomington, Illinois. I got to see where my brother works (ILSU), the Abraham Lincoln Museum & Tomb in Springfield (a must see), and some of the coolest fireworks I've ever seen on a 4th of July. The fireworks were so close that it covered my entire peripheral vision.

Over the Summer & in August
I spent some time relaxing with my cousins in Barefoot Beach (just north of Naples). Besides the near-perfect sand, nature was good to me. It was hot, but the wind off the water made it like air conditioning hit me while lying out on the chair. Man I love Florida!

Ok, that's the report. If you're more of a visual person, take a peek at where I was, what I did, and what I saw.
